Cobham Children's Centre is one of the governments Sure Start Children's centres serving every community across the country . Your Sure Start Children's Centre offers a wide range of services for young families. It is somewhere for you and your child to make friends and learn while they play. You can get professional advice on health and family matters, learn about training and job opportunities or just socialise with other people.
For details of our services please download our timetable from the timetable icon on the home page.
Our information and advice point is in the foyer of Cobham Library and is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am -12pm. We have wide range of information and leaflets for you to take away. We work closely with Jobcentre Plus and Surrey Family Information Service to ensure you have access to the information you need. You will also meet Marilyn our Information Advice and Guidance receptionist who will be able to support you in finding what you need.
In addition we have a small collection of books and DVD's on a variety of topics that can be borrowed, if there is something you are particularly looking for our colleagues in the library service hold a wider range and can order books in for you.
You can also request information by email by using the" contact us" function in the first drop down box on the home screen or by ringing us on 01932 620050
Our outreach service is here to provide you with the opportunity to have support when things are a bit more challenging. You may just have a question to ask during a stay and play session, you may want to refer yourself for 1:1 support for a short time. You may need support with health matters, getting back to work, accessing funding for childcare, foodbank, budgeting and form filling, we can support you or signpost you to somebody who can help.
We also offer parenting groups for all, why not enhance your skills and meet other parents. The programme we deliver has new research showing significant shifts and improvements in child mental health and behaviour and improvements to parents wellbeing too.
